How Do Virtual Consultations Work?

Using Zoom software, setting up a secure connection with our doctors is easy. Every appointment is generally about 30 minutes long and can be set up relatively soon after you make a call to our practice. Once you get connected with either Dr. Brendan Dolan or Dr. Riley Gionfriddo, they can begin discussing your specific concerns.

Not only does this make it easy to speak with a dentist from the comfort of your home, but it also makes it easier for patients in need of dental cleanings to get the care they need. After all, our office is not seeing as many patients at a time in order to accommodate social distancing guidelines recently put in place. It also works to keep our team members safe from potential exposure.

If you need to come in for an additional examination or to complete a specific treatment, we’ll make sure that you get scheduled during your virtual consultation. Don’t worry; our office has sufficient personal protective equipment in case of extreme dental emergencies. We’ve also incorporated many deep cleaning and sanitizing protocols and have made hand sanitizer readily available for patients who must come in for care. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this service we’re providing and call us to address any clinical questions you might have.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does It Take to Get a Virtual Consultation?

The process can take a couple of hours, but we’ll do whatever we can to make sure a dentist speaks with you the same day that you call. Just remember that the earlier you call, the more likely this will occur.

What Can a Dentist Do Virtually?

Dentists can not only discuss your concerns but share photos and review X-rays as well. You will also be able to complete necessary consultations for treatment plans. If you need to acquire a prescription, keep in mind that this is done on a case-by-case basis.
